Sven Halvar (* 1. March 1910 in Sweden; "† 19 June 1978) was a Swedish physician.

studied medicine at the Karolinska Institut in Stockholm. Its thesis defended it 1946. Its entire medical career took place at the pc. hospital in Stockholm. 1971 received the professor title, an unusual honour for one to outside of a University of active physician.

After the syndrome, a form of the Sarkoidose is designated.
