The supply intensity or supply ratio gives as characteristic number explanation about the capital freeze in the supplies of raw, auxiliary and fuels (RHB) as well as of half and finished articles.

Computation

Supply ratio \ for \ RHB = \ frac {RHB \ x \ 100%} {operating abilities}

Supply ratio \ for \ half \ and \ finished articles = \ frac {half, \ finished articles \ x \ 100%} {operating abilities}

Alternatively to the operating ability the conversion can be used as comparison value.

Meaning

A large supply intensity means a high camp risk because of the danger of the price purge, the obsolescence and the decrease. Small values for the supply intensity partly are on the type of manufacturing to partly attribute to a high portion of the direct flow of material.

Changes can be recognized in the time comparison. With the supply ratio for half and finished articles an increase can point on paragraph problems, if no conscious change of the policy of stockpiling is operated.
