The structural policy (industrial policy called) is a generic term for the whole of the politico-economic measures for the organization of the structure of the national economy of a state. A goal of the structural policy is the avoidance and/or overcoming of structure crises, which disturb the overall economic equilibrium. With structural policy changes in the economy, which are caused by new products, globalization or structural change, are weakened or arranged socially compatible. Structural policy is converted in the following forms:

  • as regional structural policy, which supports the settlement of industries in assisted areas by measures of the investment assistance
  • or as sparkling wine-oral structural policy, those by subsidies and tax preferences
    • certain industries for political reasons receives,
    • Adjustments to the structural change facilitates
    • or certain promising technologies and industries and among other things particularly the employment of artificial intelligence to modern industrial regions consciously promotes.

The structural policy ranks among the process politics.
