Andreas and Thomas are the founders of the Generika giant Hexal from wood churches in Upper Bavaria.

In February 2005 the brothers sold the enterprise with their 68% Eon lab of portions of Novartis for 7.5 billion US-$. Afterwards both a post was offered to a subsidiary company with Sandoz, by Novartis, which they did not accept however.

Andreas is married and has two children, both brothers lives at the Tegernsee in Upper Bavaria.
