Stonkers is a real time strategy play and as the first is regarded, real time elements into strategic plays brought in. It was written to 1983 for the ZX Spectrum and driven out by Imagine software. The Design came from I.E. Lawson and John Gibson, whatever it programmed. For the diagram Paul Lindale had responsibility itself.
Stonkers is served with keyboard or Joystick. In the play infantry, artillery, tanks and supplying vices are steered. During progressive movement they lose energy. In order to regenerate these, a tender unit must be brought to the same place. The tender units are renewed, as soon as a ship in the port runs in. Information about events is shown in a run volume at the screen.
The play contained many program errors and fell in early versions after of a few minutes already play time.
