The Klaviermanufaktur of stone graves & sons, gegr. 1852 in Bayreuth, ranks among the most well-known manufacturers of high-quality pianos. The exempt private company has its seat in the historical stone grave house, a building of Rococo of 1754, where also still another wing of Franz Liszt stands. In times of the bulk production in still the production predominantly relating to crafts of pianos with compromiseless all-highest quality specialized stone graves, was used for example for the housing instead of chip boards solid wood. Also in the treatment of the housing surfaces one offers long-proven alternatively for polyester and synthetic varnishes: Shellac, wax etc.
