Stepney Green is an underground station London Underground in the urban district London Borough OF Tower Hamlets. It is in the Travelcard Tarifzone 2, because of the crossing of Mile ends to Road and Globe Road. Here the District LINE and the Hammersmith & town center LINE operates. In the year 2004 the station was used by 3.461 million passengers.

The station was opened to a Joint venture the "metropolitan District Railway" (today District LINE) and that on 2 June 1902 by the "Whitechapel & Bow Railway", London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. The metropolitan LINE served Stepney Green for the first time to 30. March 1936 (their Zweigstrecke after Barking 1988 at the Hammersmith & town center LINE transferred).
