The company Steinmeyer in Oettingen is for over 150 years a considerable manufacturer of harmonies and organs.

Based 1847 of George Friedrich Steinmeyer (1819-1901), which by Walcker were among other things trained, manufactured the company until the First World War over 6.000 harmonies. Special meaning has it however for the building of organs. E.g. the Steinmeyer organ for the contactor house in Meiningen (1913) followed drafts of max of active. Also the largest church organ of the world in the Passauer cathedral originally comes from Steinmeyer (1928) as well as the organ in the Hamburg Michel (1960). 1914 and 1922 one had already restored the historical organs of the Basilika Ottobeuren.

After the company had built first only cone shop, then one was later also involved in the advancement the bag shop. Today by Steinmeyer excluding sharpening shop organs are manufactured.
