By a specialized group one understands a subdivision of an agency or an other organization on the basis of technical criteria.
Most frequently when following arrangements of specialized groups one speaks:
- At universities and universities and/or TUs and other special universities. Specialized groups are here subdivisions of large faculties or with this partial ident. They often represent the interests of individual courses of studies. Typical specialized groups are about
- at (general) universities: Archaeology, astronomy and geophysics, Germanistik, medicine (or partitioning into large ranges like internal medicine, radiology"Â
; or after research and hospital), national economy and v. more)
- To DO ("technology"): e.g. Architecture, electro-technology or their subranges, geo information, computer science or subranges, mechanical engineering, space planning, technical mathematics, - physics and - chemistry, surveying.
- At trade union - e.g. Chemistry, metal, forest and wood worker, media etc., but in many countries also private employees.
- Concrete specialized trade unions in Germany are e.g. the Ver.di (united service trade union), or within these the specialized group of the DJU (German lady journalist and journalist union.
- With technical welfare organization (THW) the groupings for special technical units.
