Sotour was created 1953 as federation for social tourism. A goal was, workers, in particular income-weak and child-rich families to make an affordable summer-resort possible.

The offer of Sotour developed with the Erstarken of the purchasing power of their clientele and the needs of the owner, so that it today, when trade union-own GmbH has, except over camping sites also over apartment plants and hotels as well as conference areas. Besides Sotour appears today as travel agency with comprehensive offer.
