Sonny Barger (* 8 October 1939 in Modesto, California; actually Ralph Barger) is prominent member of the motorcycle club Hells Angels and initial member of the charter Oakland.

Since his nut/mother leaves the family as it four months is old, it grows up together with its older sister in conditions under the Obhut of its with difficulty alcohol-ill father in Oakland, California.

1955 it falsifies its birth certificate, in order to be able to occur US Army. It will again dismiss however after 18 months, since the swindle flies up.

He buys a favorable motorcycle from remaining the existence of the US-Army remained by the Second World War and bases, inspired by the film "The game One" (with Marlon Brando) the motorcycle club "The Oakland Panthers". Since this club consists rather of Wochendfahreren, it looks for soon the contact to other motorcycle clubs in California, which are partially disliked with one another. 1957 succeed it to Barger to combine some clubs using the name Hells Angels. The Hell's Angels had been created before 1948 by returning US bomber pilots.

Under its guidance the group constantly grew and spread on California, the USA and later world-wide. The members of the first hour understand themselves as "Underdogs", which hold themselves in predominant majority by casual labours over water. The winged Totenkopf becomes the symbol of the group.

Starting from 1960 the group by excessive living and dying itself makes talks. Barger conflicts quite often with the law and spends some years in the prison.

1969 are Barger busily with its Hells Angels as file with a skirt concert of the Rolling Stones, in whose process an armed colored from files will erstochen. As can be prove Sonny thereby has to do nothing and is not also accused.

1982 get sick the strong smoker at laryngeal cancer, so that the larynx must be removed and Barger loses its voice. About a hole at the neck he learns to speak laboriously again.

2005 he marries his third Mrs. Zorana (25 June).

Due to for its illness more favorable climates it moves after Cave Creek with Phoenix (Arizona) and opens a motorcycle workshop, where it lives since then with woman and daughter. It undertakes regularly journeys into the whole world, in order to visit the local Chapter (i.e. the local Hells Angels branches).
