The Industrielle de et Carosserie of automobiles (SIMCA) was a French car manufacturer.

History

SIMCA was created 1934 by Henri Pigozzi and manufactured starting from 1935 in the French Nanterre of Fiat vehicles under license: First the Fiat 500 Topolino, which was driven out in France under the mark SIMCA 5, then to 1950 further models, Simca Huit and Simca Six. FIAT received portions of Simca for the licenses.

During 2. World war built Simca on behalf German crew power among other things parts for the NSU Kettenkrad.

1954 transferred Simca the French Ford works to Poissy with Paris and converted these until 1957 to the then most modern car factory in Europe. Ford received engine company with the sales of its French daughter 15% of the Simca shares.

Into the 1950er years brought Simca own series out such as Simca Aronde (1951) and Simca Ariane (1957), them followed the Simca 1000 (1961), starting from 1963 the 1300/1500er-Baureihen, as well as the Simca 1100 (1967), the first model with crosswise inserted front engine and front wheel drive.

1958 bought Chrysler the USA the 15% of the Simca shares held by Ford. In the year 1959 Simca bought up the company Talbot Lago come into financial emergency. Moskwitsch stated that the similarities with that are limited 1510 only to the exterior of the car.
