Simazin is, a selective and systemically working herbicide with the IUPAC name, developed by Novartis: 6-chloro-N2, N4-diethyl-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine. It belongs like Atrazin and Terbuthylazin to the Chlortriazinen. Simazin is not certified in Germany.

The herbicide is sold under the trade name Simazin, Gesatop Quick, Linocin, Meduron, Topuron and Trevox.
