Siemens the SX1 is a GSM Mobiltelefon from the kind of the Smartphones.
It was announced in Cannes in France in June 2003 and is available since December 2003 in large number of items on the market. The introductary price of the mobile telephone amounted to 639 euro without contract.
The manufacturer, the German enterprise Siemens AG, developed and offers a Design study with the model SX1 to ready for the market ones thereby a to date unusual principle: a mobile phone with laterally attached keyboard.

The SX1 is characterised by particularly large function variety and it stood out in such a way from the contemporary competition products. Weak points at the telephone are the sometimes incorrect and altogether unausgereifte system software also for a mobile phone of frequent crashes and the very weak Akku (about one day when moderate use). Crashes develop when inappropriate use of third software and the know-how lacking of the very generous operating system. There are further problems with the camera, since the lens is to be cleaned very fast dusty and badly. Siemens furnished specially a SX1 Hotline.
