Siegfried of handloose (* 25. March 1885 in Konstanz; "† 3 July 1954) was born as a son of the director of music Konstantin and its wife Anna Maria.

Life

1903 it stepped into the emperors Wilhelms-Akademie for the military-medical training system into Berlin at which it a 1910 its medical state examination put down. it attained a doctorate to 1911 with a work over the "specific treatment of the typhoid fever abdominalis". A time at the Giessener university hospital and at a military hospital followed. 1928 to 1932 he was an adviser in the armies medical inspection of the realm military Ministry, in order thereafter as corps and a military district physician V in Stuttgart as well as general staff and army group physician 3 in Dresden (1935-1938), in order to work thereafter in Vienna with the army group command 3 (1938).

Since June 1942 he dressed the again furnished office of a "boss of the armed forces medical service" in the supreme command of the armed forces and became thereby chief executive for the entire medical service of the armed forces and therefore also for all medical crimes, which were particularly committed in the context of the armed forces medical service at prisoners of war.

After 1945

After war shank it stood from 9 December 1946 by 19 July 1947 in the physician process under accusation and because of war crimes and the crime against the humanity was guiltily spoken.

The defense Handlosers tried to prevent a with the reason that the people attempts treated during the process (Erfrierungs, sulfone amide gift as well as typhus fever infection experiments) were accomplished exclusively in concentration camps and not by members of the armed forces. The judgement had however existence, because handloose was subordinate as boss of the Wehrmachts medical service not only the bosses of the medical service of army, Air Force and navy, but also the realm physician SS and police seriousness Robert Grawitz, so that the supervision range Handlosers extended also to all from SS-physicians to people attempts which can be answered for.

On 31 January 1951 the transformation of the judgement took place into 20 years detention via the US High Commissioner John J. McCloy. Handloose became later from health reasons and necessary a complicated operation become to dismiss prematurely. It died on 3 July 1954 in a Munich hospital.
