The shell mould pouring, also Croning procedure mentioned is a casting technology with lost form (i.e. once usable). The model is a thin metal plate (few millimeters), which can be heated up. The model is usable several marks.

Procedure

Over the model (metal plate) quartz sand with approximately 8% Penolharz is poured. The model is now heated up, thus the sand hardens some millimeters strongly around the model out. The remaining sand is and the form developed in such a way is hardened again 1 to 2 minutes. The form developed thereby is called shell mould.
