Shaw, Savill & Albion Steamship CO. Ltd. (SS&A) a British shipping company with head office was in London. The society operated airline services from Great Britain to Australia and New Zealand. SS&A was partner of many years of the White star LINE in the Australia service.

History

The origins of the company decrease/go back to the societies Shaw, Savill & CO (based 1858) and the Albion LINE (based 1856), both pure sailing boat shipping companies with airline services to Australia and New Zealand. 1882 fused both shipping companies to the Shaw, Savill & Albion S.S. CO. Ltd. (SS&A) around a common, now with steam ships operated to maintain airline service over Capetown to Australia and over South America back. Since 1992 the rights of the use of a name at SS&A, like also the entire Furness, belong Withy group, to the German shipping company Hamburg south. At a revival of this large name is however not to be thought.
