The self connection of the administration is a right figure of the administrative law and marks the connection of an administrative authority by own, earlier acting.

In the administrative law the majority of the decisions which can be made is such, in which for the authority a discretion exists, thus a deciding match area.

In accordance with article 3 of the Basic Law, which fixes the equal treatment principle, the administration has to fill out this clearance however in equally stored cases in the same way. The administration is not then bound to their first decisions and its set yardsticks and is in their discretion practice in the following cases any more freely.
