Salvatore Maranzano (* 1868 in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily; "† 10 September 1931 in New York) was an important representative of the organized criminality from the city Castellammare del Golfo on Sicilies, and a prominent Mafiaboss in the United States. It was the only "Boss of the Bosse", in order to control all Mafia activities. In recent years it wanted to become priests and studied even theology.
