Sager & Woerner an internationally active German building company was and until 1980 (fusion with welfare man & suffering man building AG to the Heilit + Woerner building AG) by the majority in the possession of the family Woerner.

History

It was created 1898 of Michael Sager and the brothers Franz and novel Woerner (as OHG, late kg). The enterprise established already before the First World War substantial buildings, like among other things at home and abroad the prince regent bridge and the Bogenhausener bridge in Munich, as widespread solid elbow bridge constructions and with the building firm Philipp wood man harbor facilities in Tanger and Larache, Morocco.

Between the wars the company was involved and developed for this those, this very day in the development of the German road system, in particular the motorways common pneumatic-tyred roller and as surface material the mastic asphalt. Fritz Todt, the later general inspector for roads was of 1925 - 1933 technical manager of the companies Sager & Woerner. 1927 suggested the enterprise under its line building a motorway from Munich to the Starnberger lake.

After the Second World War the building company grew up to one of the most important building unincorporated firms in the Federal Republic (1980 approx. 4000 persons employed) and was further essentially in the road, deep and Ingenierbau active.
