The Saab 99 is an automodel of the company Saab. It was presented 1967, manufactured however only starting from 1968.

The Saab 99 was sketched by Sixten Sason and was constituted the foundation-stone for all Saab models until today. In the year 1978 Saab presents the Saab 900, which was however only an advancement of the Saab 99.

Saab 99 was manufactured not only in the work ("Stallbacka"), but also in the work Nystad in Finland of the subsidiary Oy Saab Valmet off. The Saab 99 was therefore a usual police car in Finland. There are also models, which were manufactured in the Belgian Mechelen.

Late than Saab 90 presented model was an inexpensive expenditure with the front of the Saab 99 and the tail of the Saab 900 sedan ("Sedan").
