The Saab 92 was the first in series manufactured automodel of the Swedish company Saab.

The Saab 92 was based on prototypes the Saab 92001, with whose development 1945 one began. Series production began in December 1949. As modern construction it had front wheel drive, independently fitted with springs wheels and a water-cooled two-cylinder two-stroke engine. The engine carried with 3800/min. the aerodynamic Design for 25 HP out was the result of consistent work in the wind tunnel.

With the appearance of the Saab 92B 1952 some modifications accompanied. The car had now a from the outside accessible trunk as well as a larger rear window. About one year later was raised engine performance on 28 HP with 4000/min. Erik Carlsson triumphed 1955 with 800 km is enough for Sweden Rallye with a Saab 92B. In the same year the successor appeared Saab 93. The Saab 92B was manufactured still until 1956. Altogether 20,128 vehicles were produced.
