The Saab 90 was an airplane, and/or a car from the house Saab.

After the Second World War fallow weapon production logical-proves. Thus the weapon manufacturers strove to shift their production on other ranges. So also the Swedish weapon manufacturer Saab. With Saab one wanted to convert the experiences for a civilian airplane, won in the war. One put oneself the goal of attacking the supremacy of the DC-4.

The Saab 90 Scandia, a Kurzstreckenflugzeug came out for the regional traffic. The Saab 90 a bad airplane was not safe, but was well equipped with the airplanes already existing the airlines developing after the war, because in the war one had built many more airplanes, than the military needed.

The success of the Saab 90 Scandia was missing thus, even if one does not only look the airplane with the closer for a DC-3 held. Altogether only 16 Saab 90 Scandia were sold and among other things at SAS.

The Saab 90 (car) was the entrance version of the Saab 99 (car).
