The Saab 9-3 is one 1998 imported front-propelled passenger car model of the Swedish manufacturer SAAB. It is based first on the Saab 900 in second generation and availed themselves as platform the OPEL Vectra. The first Saab 9-3 was as with to have as three-door and as Cabrio.

2002 followed then the completely new model, again after OPEL Vectra basis. Contrary to the 900 of 1993 and that 9-3 of 1998 was to be bought new 9-3 for the time being only as notchback sedan. The Cabrio followed 2004. For the first time in the history of Saab starting from 2005 of the 9-3 as combination one offers. It serves the same target group as the combinations of BMW, Audi and Mercedes.
