RTL9 (original Luxembourg) is a television station. It is terrestrial similarly spread in Luxembourg and Lorraine. The transmitter was created 1955 and is the second private station of Europe. The today's owners are to 65 per cent the Groupe from time to time 35 per cent the RTL Group.

History

The first radiant emittance took place on 23 January 1955 under the name Luxembourg. The transmitter produced supraregional transmission formats for Luxembourg, Lorraine and Belgium. 1982 designated itself the transmitter over and became RTL . In the same year RTL changed its name in RTL TV and became the regional transmitter for Lorraine. To the anniversary was renamed the transmitter 1995 again and is called since then RTL9. 1997 were not any longer profitably regarded RTL9 of the RTL Group as. Therefore in December 1997 nearly all coworkers were sold to dismiss and in March 1998 65 per cent of the transmitter OFF to the Groupe. This estimate proved as wrong. RTL9 is since then in France with 2 per cent market share the usually-seen Pay TV program.
