Ruth Ellis (* 9 October 1926 in Rhyl; "Â 13 July 1955 in London) was a British She was the last woman, who was executed in Great Britain. It died at the age of 28 years on 13 July 1955 in the Londoner Holloway Prison by the cord, guiltily the murder at her lover David Blakely. Ellis frequently portraitiert as victims of a brutal lover, who abused it.
Ruth Ellis was barmaid in a night club of London. Here she became acquainted with also the running driver David Drummond Moffat Blakely and began a stormy dear affair with him, while whose he often struck her. Afterwards it could be arrested without resistance, still in the hand holding the murder weapon. Blakely still died on the travel to the hospital.
