Rudolph Karstadt (* 16 February 1856 in "† 19 December 1944 in Schwerin) was a German department store entrepreneur.

Rudolph Karstadt opened to 14. May 1881 its first "cloth, manufaktur and "in Wismar and possessed around already 1920 over 30 business in completely Germany. Karstadt maximized its profits, by switching the intermediate trade off, completing the goods purchase central and ordering also directly with the producers its commodity.

After Rudolph Karstadt lost its entire fortune by the world economic crisis 1931/32, he separated from the enterprise and withdrew themselves after Schwerin.
