Rudolf Wertz ("† 1966) was a physician from Vienna, who received the honour title of "fair among the peoples" as an Austrian.

Dr. Wertz saved many Jews in the year 1941 before the Deportation to Poland, by issuing them confirmations of serious diseases. It acted out of humanitarian reasons and required of its Jewish patients per forma a surgery fee of only 5 realm Marks.

One the saving was the Jewess Gertrude Fritz, which, when it came to Dr. Wertz, already on a Deportationsliste. Dr. Wertz certified an ulcer in the to it and ordered their six weeks bed peace. Occasionally Gestapo physicians came to it, however they believed the medical insurance card of Dr. Wertz and Mrs. Fritz in this time were not deportiert.
