Rudolf Karl von Gottschall (* 30 September 1823 in Breslau; "† 21. March 1909 in Leipzig) was a German dramatist, Epiker, a storyteller, a Literarhistoriker and a critic.

Life

God sound, son of a Prussian artillery officer, studied jurisprudence since 1841 in king mountain, however because of political agitation of the university was referred. From 1864 to 1888 God sound was publisher of the sheets for literary maintenance and our time (both magazines in the possession publishing house house of the F.A. Brockhaus) in Leipzig. 1877 were lifted God sound into the hereditary aristocracy.

God sound progressive work was respected, its dramas was gladly played during its lifetimes. Its works were characterised particularly by time-related criticism, which contributed also to the fact that he came after his death fast into oblivion.
