RotFuchs - grandstand for communists and socialist in Germany (RF) is in Berlin appearing a political monthly magazine, after own words "a communist-socialist magazine for politics and economics, culture independent of parties and science". The RF is available not in the regular magazine trade, but in the self-selling according to own data of edition of five figures is also spread. Editor-in-chief is Dr. Klaus stony, at GDR times foreign correspondent of the SED central executive body new Germany. To the most well-known RF-authors Karl Eduard von Schnitzler belonged.

The RF was created 1998 by the DKP group of Berlin northeast. Arguments with the party executive committee of the DKP, which accused the RF-editorship of because of the spreading of the party line not corresponding positions of the "parliamentary groupal activity", led to the fact that in July 2001 its own red fox promotion association was created to party-independent publication. The association sat down the goal of uniting communists and socialists in Germany independently of their party membership (members of DKP, link or to KPD and non-party one) to common discussions and of operating education work in the sense of the marxism Leninism. Politically a collection is aimed at of communists and socialists on the basis of the "confession" to the GDR as "largest achievement of the German workers' movement". The RF regards the SED as the most successful German labour party and model. The DKP is criticized however because of "more opportunistischer" and "revisionistic" tendencies.

Internal differences over the objectives of the association work led in March 2005 to the resignation of the RF-Vereinsvorsitzenden Dr. Gerhard field farmer. The non-party former Italienkorrespondent of the GDR press agency ADN turned against the restriction of the association activity on the publication of the magazine and pushed on more directly political activity with the long-term goal of an establishment of party. The majority of the association executive committee regards this position as "linkssektiererisch" and aims at one - purely tactical - co-operation with the left wing party.

The contentwise emphasis of the RF predominantly refers to the past - which defense of the GDR regarded by former function carriers as basic column of the political profile. The layout organization by the former Schriftsetzer Egon Schansker leaves - with high typographic Akkuratesse - which sees magazine from the aesthetics similar for confounding a publication from the 1950er years.
