Henry Ross Perot (* 27. June 1930 in Texarkana, Texas) be a American entrepreneur and politician.

After it was busy as salesmen some years with IBM, Perot created after firm names the first IT-service enterprise of the world in the year 1962 with the EDS corporation. Perot sold the company 1984 to the company general of engine and remained to 1987 of chairmen of the board. In the year 1988 he tried a new start with Perot of system, could not however to successes with EDS no more tie.

Perot stood as a candidate 1992 as a non-party candidate with the presidency election, with which he achieved a considerable result with 18,91%. In Maine (30.44%) and Utah (27.34%) it reached even the second place, before George Bush and/or Bill Clinton. 1995 it created the reform party, whose candidate was he with the presidency election of 1996, where he received however only 8.40%. he did not stand as a candidate to 2000 any longer.
