The US-American enterprise Rockwell Collins busily with head office in Cedar Rapids (Iowa, the USA), world-wide approx. 16,000 coworkers and has an annual turnover of nearly 3 Mrd$ (2005).

Arthur Collins created 1933 the forerunner, Collins's radio, in Iowa. Collins manufactured radio and communication equipment, for example for South Pole expedition under admiral Richard Byrd 1933, later for the space programs Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. 1973 bought up Rockwell International corporation the company, in order to separate it 2001 under the name Rockwell Collins again. To the international participation also the German company Teldix since May 2005, who was renamed on 1 April 2006 on the name Rockwell Collins's Germany, belongs.
