Robert Noyce (* 12 December 1927 - "† 3 June 1990), mentioned "The Mayor OF silicone Valley" (dt. "The mayor silicone of the Valley) was 1957 joint founders of Fairchild Semiconductor and 1968 of Intel. It was 1969 also establishment investor of AMD. In addition it, beside Jack Kilby, is considered as an inventor of the integrated circuit.

Life

It received 1949 at the Grinnell college to its Bachelor in physics. It received 1953 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to its Ph.D.

As a student at the Grinnell college stole from Noyce of a close farm a pig and slaughtered it for a college Luau. This procedure leads to the fact that Noyce was almost exmatrikuliert. Only intervening a physics professor prevented this.
