By Retrofit the modernization of used production plants is understood.

Reasons

During the introduction of new production technologies frequently new production plants (works) are developed, because only so an no-break supply of the product is possible. After putting into production of the new work the old plants stand to the sales. Often these sold into less financialstrong countries, e.g. to Eastern Europe. There can be produced also with plants, which a smaller degree of automation exhibit and thus more personnel in the enterprise require, economically. If these plants are converted, on this occasion modernizations take place in subranges, since either for the existing equipment no spare parts are more available or components for wear reasons must be replaced.

Since due to of shifts of the market many production plants are shifted at present into so-called cheap wage countries, an increasing demand for Retrofit services is to be registered.

Measures

  • Increase of the production achievement
  • Adjustment to current standards of the industrial safety
  • Replacement of building groups, for which no spare parts are more available
  • of automatic control engineering, e.g. programmable controllers
  • Adjustments for the integration of the machine/unit in production plants, e.g. cultivation of promotion elements
  • Replacement of materials by more verschleissfestere materials, for example rustproof steel
  • Saving of energy, e.g. by the employment of frequency static frequency changers with electric drives

Offerer

Partially Retrofit is offered by the machine manufacturers, partially in addition, by specialized service enterprises and using machine dealers.
