Thophile Hyacinthe (* 17 February 1781 in Quimper; "† 13 August 1826 in Kerlouarnec were French physician and inventor of the Stethoskops.

studied in the hospitals in Nantes and was then 1799 Wundarzt at the west army. It studied then far under Jean Nicolas Corvisart in Paris and became 1816 physician at the hospital Necker Paris. Here he collected his observations to the Auskultation with the Stethoskop at lung and heart diseases, invented by him, which he 1819 and later (1826) in its work de l'auscultation (Paris 1819, 2 volumes; 4. Edition of and ral, 1836, 3 volumes; German of Meissner, Leipzig 1832) published.

1823 he became a professor at the de France and in the following year professor of the medical hospital. put the reason to the discoverer of the Perkussion beside Leopold Auenbrugger, to the accurate physical diagnostics of the diseases of the chest organs and initiated thus the progress of the medicine in this area.

1868 were established to it in its place of birth a fixed image.

Perpetuated it itself in the medicine by the first description and first wrong classification (as malicious new formation) of the living ore erring trousers and by the invention of the Stethoskops.
