The remaining LOCK bulge after Isidor Trauzl (English lead block test) indicates itself, around like much the volume of a pre-defined cavity in a remaining LOCK of 200 mm in diameter and 200 mm height for igniting a certain quantity of an explosive increased. In addition 10 g of the explosive in a drilling of 125 mm depth and 25 mm in diameter with a blasting cap are ignited. The drilling dammed with quartz sand is cleaned thereafter and the volume with water is measured. This is used as characteristic, in order to be able to compare the strengths of different explosives.
