Relaunch (recovery of the decrease) describes the introduction of successor products, which are to stabilize the weakening paragraph of a predecessor product in the ripe stage of the Produktlebenszyklus'. A Relaunch describes not the new introduction of innovative products, but the substitution of a product already existing, which is to meet the changed customer taste (e.g. Design), legal requirements, regional-specific characteristics The term is used also in the Filmbranche, in order to designate the start of a new series, which is based contentwise on an older and/or continues these.
Examples: Gulf II - V, new Handymodelle without technical innovations, series of Galactica 1980 as a kind continuation of combat star Galactica.
