The Reff was a kind stretcher rack, which was used e.g. by the driving dealers of the calibration field for the transport of its goods in completely Europe.

After the Viennese congress 1815 and thus the final affiliation of the calibration field to Prussia bitter poverty resulted from the nearly complete fall of the house weaving mill. The calibration fields were forced to earn as season and/or migratory workers, Hausierer, driving dealers and a craftsman etc. outside of the calibration field money. For the transport of the commodities the Reff was usually used. This was a large wood rack, which was fastened on the back.
