The REFA federation is considered as of Germany the oldest and most important organization for work organization, operational organization and enterprise development.

It was created 1924 as a realm committee for work time determination, briefly REFA, and is today under private law organized as association. The name "REFA "is borne further as label name.

The REFA federation is a nonprofit organization. Purpose of the REFA federation is the promotion of science and education in the ranges work organization, operational organization and enterprise development. This serves for to the structure and preservation of a competitive economy.

Instrument for the reaching of this goal is the REFA Methodenlehre, which makes practical methods and instruments available, with which expirations (processes) become industry independent, measures, to control and evaluate leaves.

The REFA Methodenlehre finds both in the industriellen range and in the service sector application. The spectrum of use of the methods extends from small and middle enterprises up to large-scale enterprises and companies. As characteristic of the REFA Methodenlehre their tariff-political neutrality is considered. Before publication contents of the Federal Employers Association and the DGB are examined.
