The re-use degree is a term from the automatic control engineering and with decisions to replacements of investments is usually determined.

The re-use degree expresses the relationship of procurement costs again of the components applicable from that old facility (less overhaul costs) for replacement of investments for the entire plant:

Re-use degree = (procurement costs reinsert-cash components - overhaul costs)/replacement of investments

With large plants, as e.g. in the automobile assembly, at the most re-use degrees are reached of approximately 20%. This is among other things also because of the fact that Steuerungskomponeneten do not correspond to no more already after few years the state of the art and must be replaced.
