Raymond Lee Washington (* 15 August 1953 in Texas; "† 9 August 1979 in Los Angeles) was joint founder of one the largest road course of Los Angeles, the Crips.

Raymond Washington was born in Texas. When it was three years old, its family pulled into the 76th Street, the Eastside of Los Angeles. Since it was too young for the Black Panther party, the Raymond created 1969 with a group of friends the course "baby Avenues". The name was in support well-known course of the 60's, which had been created by Craig and Robert Munson. These called themselves "The Avenue Boys".

The "baby Avenues" changed later their names in "Avenue Cribs" (the "b" in Cribs pointed likewise to the Jugendhaftigkeit the course). 1971 united Williams, a Gangboss of the Westside, with Raymond Washington, to Stanley "Tookie" to who the Eastside belonged and together the "Westside Crips" based with it. The course found soon many imitators and the "Crips" developed until today to one the largest and most well-known course, with numerous local course across the USA. In the course of the years Williams and Washington in completely California became active and controlled the roads.

1973 sat Washington in the prison and could not not prevent the armament its course, which was promoted particularly by Tookie Williams. 1979 he was shot by an opposing course member.

Tookie Williams was condemned 1981 because of quadruple murder to death. The judgement was executed on 13 December 2005 by the death syringe.
