The quarry professional association (shortened quarry BG or also StBG) is a commercial professional association. The head office of the StBG existing since 1885 is since 1996 in Langenhagen.

As German social security institutions cares for she in the context of the legal accident insurance country widely (local competence) the natural stone industry, gravel and sand industry, oil and natural gas industry, the cement industry, lime and the gypsum industry, ready-mix concrete industry, concrete and precast concrete part industry, bitumen mixers and the recycling industry (material competence).

The sections of the StBG

In the sections are in each case the divisions remuneration and prevention.

• Section I: Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg
• Section III: North Rhine-Westphalia (without the governmental districts and Detmold), Rhineland-Palatinate, Hessen, Saarland
• Section IV: Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Bremen, the governmental districts and Detmold of the country North Rhine-Westphalia
• Section VI: Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxonia, Saxonia-Anhalt, Thuringia

The former sections II and V were converted remained existing into offices and as prevention locations.
