A police federation (police federation) is a unit of the police.
In Germany it concerns with the police on federal level the federal police and the Federal Criminal Investigation Office. On the regional level (land police) insist national police, state criminal police agencies and further authorities, e.g. for the basic and advanced training, for the administration (police administrative offices) and research institutes.
The largest federation are the police force and the auxiliary police. In third place the state criminal police agencies follow.
In each German Land of the Federal Republic national police exists as land police.
In each German Land of the Federal Republic also federations of the auxiliary police exist. The exact strength is fixed in an administrative agreement of the countries. The largest BePo in Germany is the Bavarian auxiliary police.
The auxiliary police actually represents a major unit with partially several thousand members. Each auxiliary police is divided into departments, groups of one hundred, courses, groups, half-groups and troops.
A group of one hundred is a closed unit of the police in the strength of approx. 80 police execution officials. A group of one hundred has several courses. Each course has ith D. R. ever four groups.
A group of one hundred is led by a group of one hundred leader, that is member of the elevated service.

On federal level the inspector of the auxiliary police of the countries coordinates the activity of the 16 auxiliary police.
In completely Austria the awake body federal police is responsible for the provision of the executive service. In some municipalities and cities still additional municipality or city police exists.
