The Porzellanmanufaktur prince mountain was created on 11 January 1747 in prince mountain at the Weser von Herzog Carl I. by Braunschweig and is the secondaryoldest to today Porzellanmanufaktur Germany producing at the same location. Starting from 1888 the enterprise is led in form of a corporation. Only 1966 become the Manufaktur a GmbH and a subsidiary of the NORD/LB.

Museum

The hunting seat of the Weser Renaissance lying highly over the Weser goes back on a castle plant probably out of that to 13. Century (first mention around 1355), and was converted around 1600 by duke Heinrich Julius to Braunschweig Lueneburg to the hunting seat. Until 1972 here the Manufaktur was resident, which became plants then into neighbouring, modern buildings shifted, the lock accommodated today the museum of the Manufaktur and gives an overview of their production of the beginnings at present Rococo up to today's day-further considerable prince mountain - collections are in the north Germans museums of Braunschweig, Schwerin and as well as in Weimar.
