Plextor is a Belgian manufacturer of high-quality CD/DVD Rekordern & - drive assemblies, CD/DVD blanks (only selling, production of Taiyo Yuden), USB Flash memory and digital video converters. The enterprise was created Japan as TEXEL corporation 1985 in Tokyo, renamed 1994 in Plextor, and possesses among other things addresses in Belgium and America.

Into the headlines Plextor came 2005, when legally against developers from alternatives to the internal CD-/DVD-measuring and analyzer Plextools one proceeded.
