The piano factory Carl A. Pfeiffer kg in Leonberg, is a well-known manufacturer of Pianinos and wings in traditional technology.

The company was created 1862 by Joseph Anton Pfeiffer in Stuttgart and is today in fifth generation in the family estate.

His son Carl Anton Pfeiffer, after which the company is designated since 1912, developed some tools for the building of pianos, e.g. the so-called bending pliers for accurate bending (bend) of mechanism wires. Its son Dr. Walter Pfeiffer busy itself also scientifically with the piano, particularly with the piano mechanics. Its writings to this topic belong to the generally recognized standard literature in the building of pianos.

After the end of the GDR the piano factories honking field and resident in Leipzig were taken over. Pfeiffer resides since 1994 in Leonberg and ranks among the few manufacturers of pianos of highest quality, still remained. The annual production is with approximately 10 wings and 100 Pianinos (conditions 2005).
