Petrof is a piano factory in Hradec (Kniggr¤tz) in Tschechien and 1864 by Petrof was based. 1948 were put under state control the company. Also some andersnamige makes were built and/or by Petrof, partly in branch works, so the mark "wine brook" in Jirkov (George forest), where up to the Second World War a branch work of the company existed August which has its Hauptwerk in in Saxonia.

Today the company, which belongs meanwhile again to the family Petrof, is number of items moderate the largest piano factory in Europe. In the last years Petrof strove also around innovations in the building of pianos, then the company developed a device, in order to be able to stop the play weight of the keys of the wing mechanics individually.
