Perlenkette is a term from logistics, in particular in the automotive manufacture, which a fixed order and/or manufacturing sequence is named. A goal is from the time of planning, the sequence of the customized orders off over the entire production run of the individual production steps to maintain up to the completion of the product, the for the first time planned order sequence ("the Perlenkette"). From this result in particular advantages in the Materialversorgung (application of the JIS principle), production capacity extent of utilization (adherence to the originally planned Modellmixes) as well as in the reaching of the customer satisfaction (adherence to the taken into account dates "supply regret").

The Perlenkette supports thereby in particular the optimization of the entire Supply chain.

The bead chain principle is from its theory simply, the realization however with difficulty, since during the treatment of the orders disturbances during the process can disturb the sequence order.
