As soon as orders or planning-relevant data in the APO or R/3-System change, the APO system can plan the products in the PP/DS and guaranteed automatically thus current planning conditions. In this connection the term of the Pegging is important. If an order changes, then the change must be passed on to the dependent orders. One determines these dependent orders with the help of the Peggings. With the dynamic Pegging the allocation from need and entrance elements takes place to availability and need time.

One differentiates between fixed and dynamic Pegging.

• With the fixed Pegging the allocation of an entrance element to a need element remains when planning.
• With the dynamic Pegging - dependent on the planning situation - the allocation from entrance elements to need elements can change.
