The US economist Paul Robert Milgrom (* 20 April 1948 in Detroit) teaches since 1987 at the University of Stanford in California, where he had already researched as a graduate student. In addition he is a director of the there institute for theoretical political economy. Its scientific work concentrates on auctions, incentive systems (like e.g. Contracts) and the organization of markets, in which it goes e.g. around the allocation from donated organs to patients. In addition, Milgrom treats these topics particularly in theoretical view, as an expert for appropriate practical problems is consulted.
